About Rachel Zegar
Rachel Zegar, a graduate of the Penn State Graphic Design Program, is currently an Art Supervisor at HarperCollinsPublishers in the Children's Books Department. In this role, she has designed over 100 original picture books, including New York Times best sellers Aqualicious, Emeraldalicious, and Silverlicious by Victoria Kann, Dirt on My Shirt by Jeff Foxworthy and Charlie the Ranch Dog by Ree Drummond. Rachel has also designed book covers for national entertainment reporter Jill Rappaport, actress Julie Andrews Edwards, and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. In addition to designing children's books, Rachel volunteered as Director of Design for No Longer Empty, a New York City based non-profit that orchestrates public art exhibitions in vacated storefronts and properties throughout the five boroughs. Rachel has also designed promotional and business materials for a wide variety of clients across the country and abroad. In 2011, she received a Certificate in Web Design from Noble Desktop. From 2012 to 2013, Rachel developed a company called Hushhh-a-bye Baby Books and designed personalized children’s books made with professional photographer’s photos.
